I've noticed recently that I'm starting to look my age, so on a recent visit to my dermatologist* I asked what I should be using to combat this pesky aging problem. I was a bit shocked by his answer.
"Have you heard of Cetaphil? Use it"
He went on to explain that the anti-aging industry is a multi-million (billion?) dollar industry and all you really need is sunscreen and moisturizer. My product loving self was a little sad. I mean really, I wanted a miracle cream, or vitamin, SOMETHING. Anything. But my sensible** self was kind of relieved.
Cetaphil it is.
*If you follow me on instagram, you can see all his credentials (he's even a #1 Dad!)
**On a sensible note, have you heard of eBates? You can earn cash back on stores you probably already shop at. Such as drugstore.com, where you can get Cetaphil for 20% off + another 6% from eBates.
Thanks for the info! This is definitely something that I need and who knew you could find it at the drugstore? I have noticed as I have aged my skin is so dry and red. Heather
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it! I also hope he's right...
DeleteI was advised to use Cetaphil facial skin cleanser years ago and really love that it never dries or irritates my skin--- not being a 'product' person I tried their body lotion and it isn't my favorite, but maybe I'll like the moisturizing cream
ReplyDeleteMy favorite everyday lotion (not face or hands) is Ahava. It's a little more expensive, but it moisturizes and doesn't leave you coated in a grease slick. It's also one of the few products I've been loyal to. I used to buy is at Ricky's in the city. The store looks kind of icky from the outside, but they carry some good products, at least they used to.
